Located in the heart of San Francisco's SoMa district, a neighborhood shaped by builders, engineers, and late nights turning ideas into products. We combine artisanal roasting techniques with a commitment to quality and sustainability.

We believe great coffee should be treated like great technology: thoughtfully designed, customer-focused, and responsibly refined. 

SoMa Coffee Lab was founded by an AI Product Engineering leader's love for coffee, shaped by years of building customer-fist experience at one of the worlds' most design-driven companies. 

Our Mission

We believe great coffee brings people together. Our mission is to provide an exceptional coffee experience and bring the finest coffee to our community, we source premium beans from sustainable farms around the world and roast them to perfection in small batches.

Built Like a Lab, Not a Factory

Most coffee is roasted in bulk, stored in warehouses, and sits on shelves waiting to be sold.

We don’t do that.

At SoMa Coffee Lab:

  • Shipped fresh to you, never from a warehouse

  • Offered whole bean by default to preserve aroma and flavor
